Libra season runs September 23 – October 22. New sign, new post in our monthly horoscope series — check back in late October for Scorpio.
Horoscopes are just for fun around here — nobody's claiming the stars pick your wine for you. But if you're the kind of person who reads your sign anyway (no judgment, we do too), it's a pretty good excuse to think about what's actually in your glass.
If you know a Libra, you know the type: can't pick a restaurant to save their life, but somehow always ends up with the best table. Ruled by Venus, obsessed with beauty, fairness, and getting things just right — Libras are the friend who notices the lighting in a room before anyone else does.
That instinct for balance is basically a tasting note. Libras aren't chasing the biggest, boldest, most "look at me" wine in the room. They want something with proportion — acid and fruit in conversation with each other, nothing shouting over anything else.
This season, we'd pour a Libra: a good Pinot Noir. Light enough to stay graceful, structured enough to have something to say. It's the wine equivalent of a Libra at a dinner party — never the loudest voice, always the one holding the whole table together.
If red's not the move, a well-made Rosé works too — it's the wine that refuses to pick a side between red and white, which feels very on-brand.
(If you want help finding wines that actually fit your palate — not just your sign — we can help with that.)
Here's the real point hiding under the horoscope bit: matching a wine to you — your mood, your palate, what kind of day you're having — is a much better way to pick a bottle than just grabbing whatever's on sale. That's true whether or not you believe Venus has anything to do with it.
It's also the whole idea behind a day with us. We don't hand you a list and send you off — we ask a few questions about what you actually like, and build the day around that. Balanced, structured, a little indulgent. Very Libra, honestly.
Thinking about a wine country day built around what you actually like? Ask us anything and we'll help you plan it.
Next up: Scorpio season (Oct 23 – Nov 21) — expect something a little more intense.
We handle everything — reservations, itinerary, and logistics.
